Rea Brothers Mid-South Auction has been bought out by Dealers Auto Auction Group (DAAG) in a move that expands DAAG's reach.   The auction, located in Pearl, Mississippi, now joins DAAG's other locations in Tennessee and Alabama.

In a press release after the purchase, DAAG's founder and CEO David Andrews focused on building on what the Rea family had already done and moving into the future.  “The Rea family built a state of the art facility and assembled a dedicated and hardworking staff," the press release stated, "DAA looks forward to bringing its skills and enthusiasm to take the Jackson, Mississippi location to the next level.”

For DAAG, the next level means better service and options to dealers and similar clients.   Andrews said he hopes the future will "allow more dealers, fleet, and commercial customers in the Southeast to benefit from DAA’s dedication to making the auto purchasing and resale market efficient, friendly, and profitable."

John Tidmore has been announced as the general manager of the new location, called DAA Jackson.   Tidmore has high hopes for DAA Jackson, stating he hopes the new location will help to bring "national and regional partnerships into the vibrant Mississippi capital community and continue to cultivate this business" and foster "connections with those who may be no longer doing business here and developing relationships with dealers who have never experienced the Jackson auction."

This latest move now makes Dealers Auto Auction Group one of the largest independent whole groups in the United States.
